Adding teams

Teams are the buyers in your auction. Every team starts with the same budget (the Budget per team you set on the season) and spends it as they win players.

You have two ways to add teams: type them in yourself, or share a sign-up link and let team owners register on their own.

Option A — Add a team manually

This is fastest if you only have a handful of teams and you already have their info.

  1. Click Teams in the left sidebar
  2. Click + New team at the top right
  3. Fill in:
Field What it is Example
Team name What the team is called "Dhaka Dynamites"
Short code A 3-letter abbreviation shown on the big screen "DHK"
Owner / captain name The person in charge of the team "Md. Karim Ahmed"
Logo Square team badge (we crop it to 400×400) Upload a PNG or JPG
Initial budget Optional — defaults to the season's budget. Set a different amount only if this team should start with more or less ৳5,00,000
  1. Click Save

Repeat for each team.

Option B — Let teams sign up themselves

This works well when you have 8+ teams or when you don't have all their details yet.

  1. Click Teams in the left sidebar
  2. Click the Public registration button at the top
  3. Turn the toggle on
  4. Fill in (optional):
    • Registration fee — how much each team pays to join your tournament
    • Instructions — anything you want teams to read before they sign up (your bKash number, deadline, rules)
  5. Copy the public link that appears (it looks like auctionball.com/tr/abc123)
  6. Share the link with team owners — WhatsApp, Facebook, email, anywhere

Each team owner clicks the link, fills in their team info, pays your fee (if any), and submits. Their team shows up in your Pending list for you to review.

Approving (or rejecting) pending teams

When you have public registration on, teams don't go straight into the auction — you decide who's in.

  1. Click Teams — at the top you'll see Pending: X
  2. Click any pending team to see their details (name, captain, transaction ID, logo)
  3. Click Approve to add them to your tournament, or Reject if something's wrong

Once approved, they count toward your plan's team limit and they can be assigned in the auction.

Editing a team later

Click any team in the list to update:

  • Name, short code, captain
  • Logo (you can replace or remove it)
  • Initial budget — useful if the team paid more / less than others

If you edit the budget after the auction has started, the team's "remaining" budget is adjusted by the same amount.

Linking a team owner to a real account

If you want a team owner to log in with their own AuctionBall account (instead of just opening a shared link), invite them as a "Team owner":

  1. Go to Users in the sidebar
  2. Click Invite
  3. Pick role Team owner, choose their team, type their email
  4. They get an email, click the link, set a password, and log in

When they log in, they only see one page: their team's bidding screen. They can't access anything else.
