Getting started

This is the 5-minute path from "I just heard about AuctionBall" to "my account is ready and I can start adding teams."

Step 1 — Sign up

1. Open the home page and click Get started
2. Fill in:
   • Tournament / organization name — for example, "Dhaka Premier League 2026" or "BPL Cricket Cup"
   • Subdomain — a short web address for your tournament. If you type "bpl-cup", your link becomes bpl-cup.auctionball.com. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and dashes only.
   • Your name and email — this becomes your admin account
   • Password — pick something strong (at least 8 characters)
   • Plan — start with Free while you're setting up. You can upgrade any time without losing your data.
3. Click Create organization

That's it — you're now logged in and on the dashboard.

Step 2 — Pick your money: BDT or USD

By default, every price, bid, and budget shows in Bangladeshi Taka (৳). If your tournament uses US Dollars instead:

1. Click Settings in the left sidebar
2. Under Display currency, pick USD
3. Type the conversion rate (how many ৳ in one $) — for example, 110
4. Click Save

From this moment, everything in the app shows in your chosen currency. You can switch back to BDT any time and your data stays the same.

Step 3 — Pick your sport when you make your first season

A "season" is one tournament — for example "BPL 2026 Spring Cup". You'll create your first season in the next guide. When you do, pick cricket or football — the form fields adapt automatically (cricket asks for batting/bowling style, football doesn't).

What's already done for you

When you signed up, AuctionBall automatically:

• Created an empty season for the current year (you can rename it or replace it)
• Set your plan limits (Free plan: 1 season, 44 players, 4 teams)
• Picked your language based on your browser

Common questions before you start

Do I need to know anything technical? No. Everything is point-and-click. The only "uploading" you'll do is your team logos and player photos.

Can I have multiple admins? Yes. You can invite as many co-admins as you like. See Inviting your team.

What if I outgrow the Free plan? Upgrade any time from Billing in the sidebar. Pay through bKash (send to a number, paste the transaction ID) or PayPal. Your players, teams, and history stay exactly where they are.

Can I delete my account if I change my mind? Yes. From Settings you can delete the whole organization. We don't ask any questions.
